Pinot Grigio Breganze 2021


This wine is from Veneto, north east Italy which is known for the quality of its wines.  This is a must for the wine rack if you like Pinot Grigio. It is fresh and light, with crisp citrus flavours and floral aromas. It makes a good aperitif and goes well with salads or light fish dishes. Available from Majestic Wines.

Verdicchio del Castelli di Jesi 2021


Verdicchio is the signature wine from the Marche region on the Adriatic coast. The producers are Monte Schiavo which are a large cooperative group that leads to the fruit being sourced from over 35 growers, giving superb quality to this wine.  It has notes of lemon, pineapple and lime together with ripe apricots. The finish has an interesting bitter almond steak. This wine is perfect as a party wine or for outdoor drinking in the sun.

This is a wine, which is a lavish and supple red, partners beautifully with richly flavoured food. It has a cocoa and spice stroked palate of cherry and dried fruit.

Definition Chianti Classico 2019


Another example of the worlds greatest wines. Produced by one of the most celebrated makers in the Chianti Classico region. It is a fragrant, well structured wine, with aromas of sour cherries, plums and wild berries and a long vibrant finish.


In 2022 ths wine won an IWC award for the 2019 vintage.

Surani Costarossa Primitivo di Manduria 2020


This is a must try wine if you like ripe bold reds. It is produced in the Puglia region of Italy where the Primitivo grapes soak up the sun to give an intense and velvety wine.  It is full of plummy, red fruit flavour and a moreish spice. It is aged in oak for a year which gives an extra dimension of flavour, smoothing the plush tannins. It has got a distinctly Italian hint of woody herbs, making it a good wine to go with tasty pasta dishes.
