This is from the wine caves around Saumur from the Bouvet Ladubay winery. It is made using the same process as champagne. The wine is rich on the palate yet has a zesty appple freshness

Domaine de la Tourmaline Muscadet Sevre et Maine 2022/23


This wine is from the coastal Lower Loire region. It is produced from the Melon De Bourgogne grape and has spent time on texture building lees - indicated by the 'sur lie' on the bottle.  The flavours are of fresh apple, pear and citrus with a subtle savoury character.

This is from the middle Loire region of St Nicolas De Bourgueil between Saumur and Chinon and is a fruity red using the Cabnernet Franc grape. It has a dark purplish red colour.

Melbec is mostly associated with Argentina but the grape originates in France and this example is from Chemery a Touraine near Amboise in central Loire. It has a fresh fruit character with lively aromas of violet and blackcurrant. It is a more full bodied red.
